Xenical® is a prescription weight loss medication that can also help keep weight gain from returning. It comes in capsule form and is taken with each fat-containing meal (up to three times a day). Xenical works by inhibiting the action of enzymes that break down fat, which reduces fat absorption by the body. Common side effects include gas with discharge, stomach pain, and an urgent need to have a bowel movement.
