orlistat) is a weight loss medication that is available by prescription only. It works by decreasing the absorption of fat from your diet. Xenical comes in capsule form and is taken by mouth with each fat-containing meal, up to three times per day.
Before you start taking this product, information concerning its safety should be reviewed with your healthcare provider. For example, it is important to talk to your healthcare provider before using Xenical if you have a thyroid disorder,
diabetes, or gallbladder problems. You should also tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are taking, in order to help prevent drug interactions.
As with any medication, side effects are possible with Xenical. Some of the most common problems that have been reported with this weight loss medicine include oily spotting (uncontrolled anal seepage of oil), abdominal pain (stomach pain), and gas with discharge (of either oil or stool).
