#8: Jenny Craig

This diet counts calories and is tailored to your personal weight loss goals (daily calories can range from 1,200 to 2,300 per day). Jenny Craig for Men, Jenny Craig Silver, and Jenny Craig Type 2 are different options of the diet specifically designed for men, older people, and people with type 2 diabetes, respectively.
 
The diet has three different stages you will work through. Stage 1 consists of eating three of the prepackaged meals and one prepackaged snack per day. You can also have two to three servings of fresh fruit and vegetables every day. When you are halfway to your weight loss goal, you start cooking for yourself twice a week, following Jenny's recipes. Once you reach your goal, there is a four-week period to help you transition back into cooking for yourself every day. You can track your progress and order meals online for a one-time sign-up fee (plus the cost of food).
 
The prices may deter you from this diet, but if followed correctly, most people can lose weight on this program. Consultants help set up your meals for the next week and will give you advice and support to help you stick with the diet and be successful.
