Belviq Medication Information

Belviq® (lorcaserin) is a prescription drug approved to help people lose weight. It comes as a tablet that is taken twice daily, and it should be used in combination with a low-calorie diet and a regular exercise program. During clinical studies, approximately 47.1 percent of people who took Belviq for up to a year lost at least 5 percent of their body weight. If you have not lost at least 5 percent of your body weight within 12 weeks of treatment, your healthcare provider may recommend you stop using Belviq; it is unlikely that this product will work for you.
