TrimSpa® is a popular group of weight-loss supplements. These products contain a variety of different active ingredients, which supposedly help with weight loss.

TrimSpa products are made by Nutramerica Corporation.
At one point, TrimSpa contained
ephedra, although ephedra has since been banned due to safety concerns. Now, ephedra-free versions of TrimSpa contain many different active ingredients, such as caffeine,
glucomannan,
hoodia, and
green tea extract. Each product has a different blend of several active ingredients. In general, it is not exactly known how (or if) most of these ingredients work, although some of these ingredients may work as stimulants.
Most of these products also contain hoodia, an ingredient that has been suggested to suppress the appetite (although this claim has not been supported by any reliable scientific evidence).
There is a lack of scientific evidence to support a conclusion that it is effective for weight loss.
No adequate research studies have been performed and published confirming that it is effective for weight loss.
