Who Should Not Take Qsymia?

You should not take Qsymia if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Qsymia, topiramate (Topamax®), phentermine, sympathomimetic amines, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
 
  • Are pregnant.
     
  • Are currently taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) or have taken one in the past two weeks.
