Who Should Not Take Meridia?

You should not take Meridia if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Meridia, sibutramine, or any of the inactive components used to make Meridia.
     
  • Have a history of an eating disorder, such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa.
     
  • Are taking any other weight-loss medications that also affect chemicals in the brain.
     
  • Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the past 14 days. MAOIs include:
