Qsymia® (phentermine and topiramate) is a prescription weight loss pill approved for adults who are obese, as well as those who are overweight and have a weight-related health problem. In clinical studies, up to 70 percent of people who took Qsymia for a year lost at least 5 percent of their body weight.
The drug comes in capsule form and is taken once a day. Side effects are possible with this medication and may include dizziness, insomnia, and constipation.
