Adipex is a prescription weight loss medicine that is approved for short-term use only. It is available in tablet and capsule form, and is usually taken once a day. The medication works by suppressing the appetite and possibly increasing metabolism. Although most people have no problems with Adipex, side effects can include dry mouth, insomnia, and headaches.
