You're Hungry

Hunger is a complicated thing. It's affected by psychological factors, hormones, what and how much we eat, and many other factors. Although it does serve a useful purpose, hunger can sometimes get out of control and undermine our efforts at weight loss. Most of us start to feel ravenously hungry when our blood sugar dips too low, so if you're struggling with hunger, try to avoid extreme highs and lows in blood sugar. Limiting high-glycemic foods (which are usually high in simple sugars) and making sure to eat enough protein and fat help keep your blood sugar stable, which can help stave off extreme hunger.
