Lipovarin Uses: An Overview
Lipovarin™ is an herbal weight loss supplement that contains a variety of different active ingredients. Even though the packaging is designed to make it seem like Lipovarin is a prescription medication (the packaging even has a "generic" name), Lipovarin is a simply a supplement and is therefore not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
With obesity on the rise
(see Obesity Statistics), people are often searching for "quick fixes" to help them lose weight. Although the
ideal weight loss plans focus on gradual weight loss by healthy eating and increased exercise
(see How to Lose Weight), many people have difficulty following such plans or feel they need extra assistance in their efforts. Before turning to drastic measures such as
weight loss surgery, many people consider using
weight loss pills, especially if they have unsuccessfully tried to control their
obesity and exercise and diet have been ineffective.
Despite what you may read on the Internet, Lipovarin has not been shown to be safe or effective for weight loss.
It is not known how (or even if) Lipovarin works for weight loss. It contains
bitter orange (
Citrus aurantium), a stimulant that is often used in weight loss supplements to replace
ephedra, since ephedra was banned due to safety concerns. However, there is no evidence that bitter orange is any safer than ephedra. Caffeine,
green tea, and metabromine fruit extract (which is really just cocoa, as in chocolate) also may act as stimulants. It is not known how (or if) the other active ingredients work for weight loss. In fact, it is not clear what exactly the active ingredients of Lipovarin are, since different sources list different active ingredients.
