Lipovarin Interactions (Cont.)

More Information on Lipovarin Interactions

The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when Lipovarin is combined with any of the drugs listed above.

Any Other Stimulants
Use caution when combining Lipovarin with any other stimulant. It contains a few different stimulants, which can be dangerous when taken with other stimulants.

Clozapine
For some people, caffeine (a component of Lipovarin) can make psychotic symptoms worse. In addition, there is some evidence that caffeine may increase the level of clozapine in your blood, which may lead to dangerous side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before combining these two substances.

Decongestants
Some of the stimulants in Lipovarin and many nasal decongestants are chemically related. Therefore, taking them together may increase the risk of side effects.

Diabetes Medications
There is some evidence that caffeine (a component of Lipovarin) may affect blood sugar, although it is not clear how important this interaction may be. You may need to monitor your blood sugar more closely while taking Lipovarin.

Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors
Combining an MAOI with Lipovarin can lead to life-threatening reactions. If you take an MAOI, do not take Lipovarin.

QT-Prolonging Medications
Theoretically, combining Lipovarin with a QT-prolonging medication could increase the risk of QT prolongation, a dangerous irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia).

Theophylline
Lipovarin contains caffeine. Combining caffeine with theophylline may lead to problems, so be sure to check with your healthcare provider before taking Lipovarin and theophylline together.
