Rebooting With Joe Cross

Getting Started

If you want to try out this juice diet, you don't have to do it for a long period of time. As previously mentioned, there are rebooting plans for anywhere from 3 to 30 days. Joe claims that this isn't strictly a diet plan, but a plan to "reboot" your health -- a plan to help you break a cycle of an unhealthy lifestyle.

Joe recommends that if you are overweight and nothing else seems to be working, a good plan to try is the 10-day rebooting plan. However, he also adds that the reboot plan doesn't have to be "all or nothing." If you don't want to strictly have juice all day, he recommends just adding it into your daily diet instead. For example, he suggests that even having a liter of fruit and vegetable juice every morning will help you feel better and also aid in your weight loss.

Depending on how many days you choose, there are specific reboot plans set up for you to follow that offer recipes for the day and a daily juicing schedule.

Before you decide to try out this diet, however, make sure to talk to your healthcare provider. He or she can help you figure out whether this plan is right and safe for you and your health goals.

How the Reboot Works

The reboot plans mainly focus on drinking fruit and vegetable juice for a certain number of days. Juicing, according to Joe Cross, is the fastest and easiest way to increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. For example, in one sitting, this juice plan can allow you to eat eight kale leaves, one large cucumber, two apples, a lemon, and a handful of spinach. This program provides a wide variety of different juicing and smoothie recipes, such as Joe's mean green juice and carrot-apple-ginger juice.

The reboot program claims to provide numerous health benefits, including a more efficient way for your body to absorb important nutrients. It also discourages using commercial juices, as they are processed and lacking in nutrition compared to freshly juiced fruits and vegetables.

Joe also explains that juicing helps remove the insoluble fiber from vegetables and fruits, which helps increase the absorption of certain phytonutrients and enzymes.

In addition to juicing, the reboot plan recommends adding physical activity into your daily life. There are a number of workout routines offered on the Web site, including both cardio and strength-training programs with low- or high-intensity options.
