CortiSlim

Several CortiSlim products are available that claim to help with weight loss. However, there is a lack of scientific evidence supporting a conclusion that these products are effective for weight loss. Many of the ingredients in CortiSlim products are simply stimulants, which may work to control the appetite or increase metabolism, but may also have dangerous side effects. Possible side effects may include insomnia, high blood pressure, and a rapid heart rate.

What Is CortiSlim?

CortiSlim® is a popular weight loss supplement. In fact, many CortiSlim products are available. These products contain a variety of different active ingredients that supposedly help with weight loss.

How Does CortiSlim Work?

Initially, these products claimed to cause significant weight loss (especially loss of belly fat) by reducing the level of cortisol (a "stress hormone"). However, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) called these claims "false and unsubstantiated," and the manufacturer can no longer make such claims.

There is no adequate published research that shows CortiSlim has any effect on cortisol. Many of the ingredients in these products are simply stimulants, which may work to control the appetite or increase metabolism, but may also have dangerous side effects. All CortiSlim products (except CortiSlim Control) contain stimulants.

Is It Effective?

There is a lack of scientific evidence supporting a conclusion that CortiSlim is effective for weight loss. No adequate research studies have been performed and published using these products for weight loss.
