Belviq may increase the level of many antipsychotic medications in your blood, which could cause potentially serious side effects. Check with your healthcare provider before combining Belviq with one of these medications.
Certain Blood Pressure Medications
Belviq can increase the level of many blood pressure medications in your blood, which could cause your blood pressure to become too low. Your healthcare provider may need to decrease the dose of your blood pressure medication if you take Belviq with one of these medications.
Class I Arrhythmia Medications
Belviq may increase the level of certain arrhythmia medicines in your blood, which could cause potentially dangerous side effects. Do not take these medicines together without first talking to your healthcare provider.
Taking Belviq with codeine may change the way your body processes codeine, potentially making it less effective. If you take codeine with Belviq, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if it no longer works as well.
Belviq may increase the level of dextromethorphan in your body. In addition, taking these medications together can increase your risk for a potentially serious reaction known as serotonin syndrome. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. If you need a cough medication while taking Belviq, your healthcare provider may be able to recommend something that is less likely to interact with Belviq.
