Alli™ was recently approved by the FDA as the first non-prescription diet and weight loss drug in the United States. It decreases the absorption of fat in the diet by binding to enzymes that break down fat molecules. Alli comes in capsule form and is taken with each fat-containing meal (up to three times a day). Side effects can include stomach pain, diarrhea, and gas.
