Akavar Drug Interactions

When other stimulants or diabetes medications are combined with Akavar, drug interactions may occur. These interactions can alter the amounts of the medications in your blood, possibly increasing your risk of side effects. To avoid these and other Akavar drug interactions, be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about all medicines and vitamins you are taking prior to using it.

 

An Overview of Akavar Drug Interactions

Very little information is available about possible Akavar™-20/50 drug interactions. Based on the caffeine content in Akavar, it is assumed that it will interact with various medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to Akavar drug interactions include:
 
 
    • Ciprofloxacin (Cipro®)
    • Gatifloxacin (Tequin®)
    • Levofloxacin (Levaquin®)
    • Moxifloxacin (Avelox®)
    • Norfloxacin (Noroxin®)
    • Ofloxacin (Floxin®)
