How Does Adipex Work?

Adipex-P works in the brain by suppressing the appetite, and it may also increase the metabolism. It is chemically related to amphetamines.
 

Adipex Use in Children

Adipex-P is not approved for treating obesity in children. Talk to your child's healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using Adipex-P in children.
 

Off-Label Adipex Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Adipex-P for something other than weight loss. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, however, there are no universally accepted legitimate Adipex-P off-label uses.
