Adipex Tablets

If you are wanting to lose weight, your healthcare provider may prescribe Adipex-P® (phentermine). This prescription weight loss medication comes in the form of capsules or tablets. Adipex is usually taken by mouth once daily, although some people may need to take it twice a day. The medicine comes in one strength -- Adipex 37.5 mg.

By suppressing the appetite, Adipex can help people lose weight. This medication is chemically related to amphetamines and may also increase the metabolism.

Even though most people tolerate Adipex well, the medication is not suitable for everyone. For example, you may not be able to take Adipex if you have certain medical conditions, such as glaucoma, diabetes, or heart problems. Before using this weight loss medication, make sure to talk to your healthcare provider about any other medical conditions you have and any other medications you are taking.
