Accelis Drug Interactions

When certain medications are taken with Accelis, drug interactions could potentially occur. Medicines that can lead to Accelis interactions include antidepressants, barbiturates, and diabetes medications, to name a few. Some of these drug interactions with Accelis may increase your risk of side effects, such as drowsiness, confusion, memory loss, or difficulty breathing. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dose of medications if you are taking them with Accelis.

 

An Introduction to Accelis Drug Interactions

Accelis™ can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Although interaction studies with Accelis have never been done, some information can be assumed based on the reported interactions with the individual active ingredients in Accelis. Some of these medicines that may lead to Accelis drug interactions include:
 

 

    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
    • Secobarbital (Seconal®)

 

  • Benzodiazepines, including:

 

 

 

 

  • Narcotics or opiates, such as morphine, oxycodone (OxyContin®), or hydrocodone (Lortab®, Vicodin®)
  • Sleep medications
  • Warfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®).
