Acai Berry Weight Loss

Acai berry juices and other products have become immensely popular and are claimed to be useful as a "superfood" for treating or preventing almost any medical condition and for enhancing general health. In addition, acai berry products are marketed to help people lose weight.

No scientific research has been published indicating a connection between acai berries and weight loss. It is even difficult to speculate how you can lose weight by taking products containing acai berry; weight loss has never been linked to antioxidant use (acai is often promoted for its high antioxidant content).

It is important to understand that marketing for these products rely heavily on testimonials from individual people. It is important to remember that such testimonials are of little scientific value. Even if it could be confirmed that these testimonials were valid and honest, this does not "prove" that there is an association between weight loss and acai berry use.
